Rat problem

Practice on a tin can and shoot it with your air rifle if you dont think you will hit it take up knitting it a safer hobby
 
Get yourself a solid backstop like an old slab. Place it along one of the tracks they are making. Normally between a hole and the chicken feed. Try and place it somewhere you can see from the other side of the garden. Then smear a good blob of peanut butter on the slab and wait for the little ******* once it gets dark.
If you have a garden light, try leaving it on for a week before you do anything. If you don't have a garden light you can get cheap LED torches which do a good job. Try and get a red one if possible as rats don't see the colour red very well at all.
Once you nail the first one, you will wonder why you never took up rat shooting before!
