Hi all. The name is Tim, and I am an expat pom now living very happilly in New Zealand.
I never really got into hunting in the UK as it just seemed too restrictive to me at the time. Since moving to beautifull NZ though, I have really got the bug. Try and get out chasing Reds/Sika/Fallow and occasional pig, as often as work allows.
Plenty of FREE hunting on public land down here and we dont have as much red tape as many places. Up here on the North Island it can be hard going due to the very tight bush in places, but that is all part of the fun. Usually do 3 or 4 day trips under a bivvy this time of year. Otherwise we can access the hundreds of public huts available for a few $$ per night. All very different to my old stomping ground in rural Surrey.
Looking forward to hearing all about the uk hunting scene.
Cheers for now.
