Evening all, I've odd an odd question to do with the above with meat damage
We always used Gameking 100g loaded as factory ammo from federal and found them to be excellent in a Cz 601 accurate and they never damaged a fallow carcass much at all. Maybe an inch hole at the exit, however when we started reloading these same bullet heads in then same rifle they have started making a lot more damage. They are making an inch hole and a two inch out with a lot of bruising around both entry and exit. The home loaded ammo is slower than factory ammo. We are using 45.3g of N165 doing 2772 fps and these are very accurate. We were trying to make them slightly quicker and observe the difference but the grouping opens up past 45.3g of powder.
Hopefully someone may be able to shed some light on this
