I wish I'd known about this place before! I'm new to hunting properly although I've handled air rifles and done a little clay shooting in the past. As a new parent I've been thinking a lot about what I want to teach my daughter and with the news that deer may need culling in the UK, my partner Hazey and I want to start getting into hunting and using old tracking skills again. We're not glory hunters, we value using an animal for all it can provide, so we're also interested in good butchery and preservation techniques of meat, hide and bone.
We're looking at moving to France in the next few years and starting a small holding with a view to being almost 100% self sufficient so hunting will also be a part of our lives there too.
Any advice on gun laws and licensing, requirements, equipment, tracking and anything else significant will be received with open arms
