I am a north of 55 y o Fifer and I do a bit of red stalking in the north west highlands, (and anywhere else I can get it).
I shoot a Blaser R8 Pro .270 with an SL5 moderator, and factory ammo.
I have had this rifle for 2 years, and really like it, (I've shot .270 all my life), but I have just splashed out on the new thumbhole stock for it, with the leather inserts. Bloody nice stock, but will it make a difference to my shooting? I doubt it, but only time will tell.
I don't really care about that, because I have always been a reasonable shot, (I NEVER take shots where I am not certain that the beast will go down 1st time), I just really like the feel of this stock, - and I don't spend a lot of money on other things.
I have tried to get into re-loading, but without much success so far, - got the gear (I think), but not the knowledge.
