Thread: Be prepared!

    Be prepared!

If you decide to quietly follow and stalk up to the roe you have been watching for a while, that was busy rubbing himself beside the oak tree (but you couldn't shoot because there wasn't a suitable backstop) as he moves off slowly out of sight, over the brow of the track on the bank - when you get to the oak tree and peer over the bank (where the roe buck went), at least take your rifle off your shoulder and get your sticks ready for a quick shot. This might prevent you from being taken by surprise (even more than the roe buck who hadn't gone very far at all, hadn't heard your approach because the wind was perfect for you and was definitely quicker to react than you were by stamping his front leg in annoyance for a few seconds with a safe back stop behind him, before clearing off faster than a fast thing on a fast day!!!

He will find him there again soon enough!! Roe just can't resist being creatures of habit unlike our fallow .

Somebody is being mean. Even if he deserved it!!!
I can speak in-depth and with great knowledge about most subjects until some bugger who actually knows what he is speaking about opens his gob .
