I shot this fallow buck yesterday, it was aged about 3-4, it would have been a major risk to other bucks in the rut ,pedicles were good , but testes were sub normal indicating testosterone deficiency. Similar to a red stag switch, classic cull animal.
good job there cervus saved a lot of misery and injury to a lot of bucks
i saw 2 potential murder bucks in the same group on sunday morning one had a palmation on one side and a spike on the other probaly about 6/7years of age and the other probaly 4/5 years of age had a slight shoulder injury and one antler next year more than likey turn to a spike never stood for a shot untill they were on the neighbours land may be next time
