Hi Just a few words to introduse my self, have been stalking for 20 years. I have DS1 DS2 and another stalking certificate I shoot with 222, 6.5X55, 270 and 30.06. My 6.5 is a BSA CF2 and was a stutzen till the stock was altered it is 30 years old and will shoot 120 grain home loads through the same hole at 100 yds. After reading some of the comments about 30.06 rifles I wonder who actualy shoots them as mine weighs 7lb scoped and shot 2 sika stags in Scotland leaning on the same post one at 195 paces and one at 185 paces and watched them both hit the floor before the rifle kicked. Thanks and hello.
Sounds like you have bags of experience, look forward to reading some of your contributions to the forum.
Welcome Sikadog, What part of the country are you in?
I have 2 CF2's, one in .243 and the stutzen in 6.5x55. Not quite as accurate as yours but will put three shots in a 1" circle. It was in 'as new' condition when I bought it about six years ago. There is a little creep to the trigger pull, which I will get sorted sometime. The only modification I have made is to cut down the recoil pad as the stock was a tad long for me. A great little rifle and I prefer it to my Sako (also in 6.5x55).
Looking forward to your posts.
