Dollag's Cottage in the village of Shawbost on the Isle of Lewis is the ideal holiday destination, especially for the family who enjoys the outdoors. Amazingly bookings are starting to come in for the summer of 2014 and so I thought to mention to the good folks of SD that if you fancy a great get away from it all holiday next year then you need to stake your claim soon! The cottage is full up until the end of September this year so it is too late to get a 2013 summer break but autumn and winter weeks are still available.

Unfortunately, and I know this is a catch for a lot of SD members, dogs or other pets are not allowed as the cottage sits on a working croft and the neighbours also have livestock on their crofts.

The cottage is ideal for anyone wanting to fish, enjoy the beaches, walk or watch the huge variety of wildlife. Some fantastic stalking for red deer is also available on local estates. It can sleep 6 in one double and two twin rooms and electricity and oil heating are included in the price. The cottage has recently been refurbished and has a new kitchen and "all mod cons."
