    New to Stalking

    Hi guys (and girls presumably)
Just introducing myself on this forum.
I'm 48, live in Hampshire and I'm half way through a 2 year Game and Wildlife management course (a bit late in life, I know).
Only been stalking twice now but I'm loving the stalk and the course.
I'm intending to approach the good old FLO (or FEO) with the intention of getting 2 rifles. The 1st being a .17HMR for the smaller vermin and a .243 for deer. Being located where I am I thought this would probably do the job on most types of deer we have here. Does anyone have any views on this?

P.S. Just passed the DSC1 too

Well done on the level 1 and welcome to the site Washer.

you may get one or two differing opinions from fellow stalkers on here about cals for deer if you ask that question !

    enjoy the ride
