Any help on this would be appreciated,I reload my .222 and .243 but recently I have noticed some of my .222 necks are split, the cases have been fired once and I am not using the max load according to the hogdon catalouge.I never have any problem with my .243 .Any suggestions

If it was once fired new brass, I'd suggest that it is faulty brass. (Before anyone suggests it, your chamber didn't suddenly go bad. ;) )~Muir

Could be. Split necks are usually from hard brass; either work hardening or faulty production. Once fired brass should never split. It wasn't S&B brass was it??~Muir
