bullets not going off problem?

had a newbie to reloading do this once, so i dismantled the rounds that did not fire.

WOW:...............................................no main powder charge had been placed in the case, primer was fine.

if its not that you have the solution/advice above to sort it.

good luck

bob.

Was there visible signs the primer had gone off bob as per Muir's post? or did the round look intact apart from the firing pin mark?

Regards,

Gixer

I pulled some that I had trouble with and the powder near the primer was fused into one greyish lump and was a bit of a pain to get out of the case. This showed that the primer ignited but not with enough burn to set off the powder charge properly.

I had this problem with the first batch of ammo that I reloaded. My problem was I used a sonic (wet) cleaner and it didn't get all the crud out of the primer pocket. This held a little moisture so the primer got damp when I put it in.
Don't know if you wet or dry tumbled your brass just another thought
