Hello. I have decided that it is time for me to get into stalking, after thinking about it for too long, which is why I have joined this forum. I have been shooting most of my life, with a pretty even split between target shooting and the usual rural pest control work. I have been a member of a club at Bisley for about 6 years now but now want learn the art of stalking. I live on the Sussex/Surrey borders to the west of Horsham, so have lots of deer in the area & am not too far from some good stalking from what I have been told. I spend quite a lot of time in the woods outside of work doing field archery & bushcraft stuff with friends, so often come across the local deer in the woods where I have permissions.
I am working my way though the BDS Ultimate Deer Data DVD that I was recently given as a present so am planning to take my DSC1 in the Spring. I was planning to do the local BDS course but have seen a few local providers on here that look interesting, especially those that have some less expensive stalking to help me get going afterwards, before I find my own patch. There looks like there is everything I need to get me started here, so I look forward to meeting some of you soon. Dave
