PARDON !

Stan

P.S.

Barrel length, position of listener, excess of powder on home load etc. all affect.

have 243 and 7mm rem mag 1 silencer t8 243 40g powder 60g head 7mm rem mag 72g powder 120head 7mm rem mag is the quietest out of both of them why the 7mm is closer to the hole size in the moderator thats the onley thing i can think of you would think more powder etc more bang nope the 243 is louder

Are you wanting the loudest one for a reason?! Scary basil brush to death? I'd imagine generally the .243 is the loudest but the .22-250 & .204 might have a fair old crack which is getting close to it. .223 is most probably the quietest...

it's all in the moderator and bore diameter... but in reality just get a 22-250 and launch 75gr A-max. Any speculation and discussion past that is pointless as you won't out perform that combination.

depends where and how far your shooting a 22-250 in open country will have every house with a light on :lol: i can assure you of that

hi 22.250 all the way for old renard but if your going with 75gr head you will need a fast barrel twist to stablize them.

guns are not dangerous its the nut behind the but.

I assume you want to use the quietest calibre so I would put them in this order starting with the quietest.
223, 204, 22-250, 243.

Here's some interesting information copied and pasted from another site, note as a rule of thumb the shorter the barrel the louder the report, and as mentioned home loaded ammunition will also have a significant bearing.

{The peak dB depends a whole lot more on barrel length than on caliber, and whether the barrel is fitted with a muzzle brake or not. That's why in terms of dB, handguns are as loud as (or sometimes louder than) rifles.}
