Whats the blade ?
Thanks Rake Aboot, really enjoyed doing it although the sheath is causing me a few headaches.
Its the blade from a Karesuando kit a few years ago that has sat around gathering dust. Handle is buffalo horn, bone, red liners with a nickel silver bolster. All sanded and then polished to within and inch of its life !
I think the point of Mr Mitchell's post was to encourage you to buy one of his knives, not make one of your own !!

I made one if these kits for my birthday last year and it surprised me how well it turned out. Now I've started making a matched pair from scratch. Just need to heat treat the metal as they're both cut out and shaped. Very addictive once you start.
