Thought this was a lovely scene this afternoon . . You could actually see
the snow falling on the tops through the binoculars.

Ten mins later the heavens opened.

I'm sure a few of you will know where it was taken .. :D

:D Yes indeedy.

Is there still a wooden bench up there, in front of the roundel wood release pen?

As shown, yes the bench is still there ... It's one of my favorite views on a nice day.

Skywull ... I assume it's a remembrance bench ?

Do you know the story behind it, and who put it there?

The bench was put there by one Mr A. L. Potter in memory of his departed German Shepherd. Gus used to try and run a commercial pheasant shoot in those woods.

I love looking at that white stuff, from a distance preferably a great distance, unfortunately padding about in it today big wet flakes and slushy underfoot the worst kind.

I thought it was probably in remembrance of a person who maybe enjoyed
the view as much as me .. haha
Nevertheless every bit as poignant that it was for the lads dog.
I'll need to have a seat on it one day.
