223 on Roe in scotland

Used 52grn hornaday match bthp in .222 on roe in Scotland no problems at all good actually

Why? Why use a match bullet intended for target shooting rather than a bullet designed and intended for game shooting?

I use the sako 55`s in my .222 and it drops them like a goodun. Yesterdays was roughly 90mtrs, and it dropped, TBH, the meat damage was a bit much, so once I`ve had it a while and gained total confidence in myself they will be neck shot where poss

My buddy uses 55 soft points in his .223 and never fail to grass them. Mostly neck shot, but the .223 will drop any Roe.

After shooting .243 for years, I now see it as overkill for Roe, I`m totally converted.

I reload 55 grain Hornady SPWC, product #2266 in my 222 and 223 they group well and work on Roe. I shot 2 doe's in January with them in my 222 one dropped on the spot the other took about 10 steps the fell over dead.
