Severe winter weather shooting restrictions to be lifted

Shooting restrictions put in place in Scotland earlier this month because of the severe winter weather are to be lifted. A legal suspension of the shooting of waterfowl in Scotland will be lifted at midnight on Monday 18th January, allowing shooting on Tuesday 19th.

All birds will have been affected by the prolonged winter weather, so despite the lifting of restrictions, we encourage all SGA members to continue exercising restraint, particularly where snow and frozen water remains.
