Muntjac buck shot at less than 25 yards!!

Most obliging of him to stop and sniff the air!

The usual trouble in those situations is getting them to stop without spooking them into making a dash for cover.

Where was the strike? Neck, or head?

I was wondering that. Looked like neck, on the deer's left, but it can be so hard to tell due to the difference between gun position and video camera position.

Very very high neck, the photo of the exit wound would be XXX rated!!!

Thanks. Nice shooting.

It's got me thinking I should shoot a round or two into some targets at very short ranges (from a high seat too) just to make sure they really would go where I'd expect them to.

Cheers mate, it certainly is!

Shame he did not appear when we sat there!! There will always be next time when you come up country.

I thought it looked familiar, although it's a lot greener now. Did you call him in or was he just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Just give a little bark at them they always stop to have a look what the noise was long enough to place your shot ,that was a good tip from a friend and it has never let me down
