    Single Shot Stalking Rifle.

Anyone use one, what's the opinion ?
Had a shot with one last weekend (Blaser K95) and it set me thinking. Sort of Liked it !
Wouldn't be keen on a large caliber job but .243 appeals somewhat !

I've used a K95 for the last ten years shooting fox, goat, reds, roe, CWD and fallow. No bother taking hinds & calves.
Lightweight and extremely accurate as I'm sure others may testify. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another....except I don't need another one.
Might have been mine you had a shot with BR - at the gongs? ATB

Hah. I've got the Ruger in 416. One shot has sufficed so far!

    Do it!
My single shot right now is a 7x57 / 20 gauge combination gun, 6.5 lbs.
But I am on the alert for another Browning B78 or Winchester 1885 Low Wall.

Ruger makes some limited runs of about 250 No. 1s in 24-inch barrels with sights, in .303 Brit, 9.3x74R, .300 H&H, 6.5x55mm, but you have to move fast to grab one before the collectors stash them in a dark safe.

Don't limit yourself. My Heym SR44B in 7x57 Mauser is delightful to shoot. After experiencing lightweight stalking with one I won't be going back to a bolt gun as my primary deer rifle in a hurry.
