Is it not just a rail mount over the scope for a lamp or a laser?
Section 161 of the Highways Act 1980 (England & Wales) makes it an offence to discharge a firearm within 50 ft of the centre of a highway with vehicular rights without lawful authority or excuse, if as a result a user of the highway is injured, interrupted or endangered.
It looks like an older military mount for a 1913 rail, for a 34mm scope, like a Schmidt & Bender. To the left side would be a mount for a 1 inch or 30mm red dot sight, for closer work.
What made me most curious was the ring set in the foreground in the middle pic...
The piece in the first pic seems to have been turned at one end to clear one one of a scope.
they looked unusual/ interesting but thought I'd see if they were identifiably make X for such n such rifle.
definitely picatinny. Rings are steel and remind me of some us optics ones I have squirrelled away somewhere...
not a clue on those, but if you find any low blue 30mm tikka give me a shout!
