Skull ID help please

Anyone have an idea what this is?

Found it laying on the side of a field yesterday with a couple of rather large bones that were a similar size to my forearms!!

Well we kept on turning it around all angles and couldn't work it out so that's why then, lol!! :doh:

We thought they were funny eye socket positions!! :D
 
I know this sounds crazy but it looks kind of like a large bird pelvis to me. Has there been ostrich or rhea present in the area?

Just looking on google, it's not an exact match but it's close to emu and rhea. Do they have any other large flightless birds?
