Hi, this my introduction. I live and work on the south yorks / derbyshire border as a full time grouse keeper and it was deer stalking that origionally set my heart on keepering. My experiences accompanying my father stalking on the open hill on the isle of mull as a teenager Really made my Mind up that keepering of some kind was what i was going to do.
Since then I have stalked red and sika and hybrids in southern ireland, muntjack and fallow in staffordshire, roe and red on various estates through out scotland and red and roe in my local area. I am yet to see or shoot a chinese.
The callibers I use at the moment are .243, 6.5x55 swede, .223 with nv and .22 for ocassional rabbits. The rifle I seem to reach for on most occasions is the swede
