Hi Folks,

Time for another trip up to our grounds near Woburn for a bit of control on the local CWD population.

We will be making three visits to the ground during the winter season & if you are able to join us you stand a fine chance of catching up with some of these fantastic little deer. Quality is good, indeed ShootingDuckDog from this site was fortunate enough to take a buck that scored for a time, as the second largest ever taken in the UK.

There is local lodge accommodation/restaurant three minutes from the grounds, at a cost of @£40 nightly for those having to travel. Obviously, this can be shared to reduce expenditure, while early booking can give rooms from £19!

The grounds consist of young woodland (pole stage & thicket) surrounded by arable fields. Result is the deer use the farm as a habour area - moving out onto arable to feed. We only visit this site a few times each year - and have consistently taken good medal and representative bucks.

We prefer to hunt during the week (Friday or Mondays preferred) to minimise chances of walker interference, but can do weekends as well - contact me to discuss a date that suits your diary between November and the end of March 2015.

If joining us takes your fancy, then do let me know soonest, but should you have any queries, please do get in touch and we can discuss.

Best Wishes,

Ian ;)

Hi All

Went out stalking this ground with Ian yesterday and had a great time.
Weather was in our favour with the sun drawing out plenty of deer as the day warmed. Saw about 15-20 in total on the morning stalk although when finishing this it was easy to see that this wasn't the easiest shooting that I have ever done. Shot would need to be taken quickly as the deer cross rides so no real time to ponder over it.
The afternoon stalk was ended quite quickly with a great animal that just happened to present itself shortly after arriving. Has now been boiled out and sent off to be measured.

Ian was very helpful and a pleasure to spend time with. Look forward to that Sika next year.

Quick update. Just heard back from Chris Rogers and it has scored 232, so a good solid Gold Medal. Many thanks once again Ian.

Congratulations Paul - great result and proof that one shot is all a hunter really needs. It was a really good weekend - our other hunter also taking a gorgeous Buck that will score high CIC Gold staus!

Ian
