It might save you a few questions fbrad if you state what the bases fit i.e. Tikka or Sako, and also the height of the rings.
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.
8x57 As in post they fit both Tikka or Sako.
As in post a 50mm objective lens scope was mounted on them, therefore good for a scope up to 50mm.
I disagree. Someone is in need of 'Specsavers' . The front aspect shot is deceptive, but to my eyes these bases taper laterally. It's easy enough for the seller to confirm this with a caliper. If they're SAKO they fit one way only, and can't be reversed .... as TIKKA can.
They may have been lifted from a Tikka, but they are an interference fit only on that marque. IMO they are SAKO fit bases only.
If I'm going to be accused of it then it's just as well I did it.
They look the same as the ones taken off my tikka T3, if thats any help
Question for the knowledgeable guys on here
I've only ever owned a Tikka M558 which had its own set of mounts when i bought it, so the question is do Tikka and Sako bases have different widths from front to the back base???
reason for asking I've got a set of bases with rings here which are two different widths between the dovetails very good quality mounts with the arrestor pin fitted similar to the ones up above
Trampy is correct.
If you look at the picture of the underside of these bases you'll notice that the line on the inside of the mount is parallel for its length to the clasp part of the mount making these almost certainly tikka mounts. Sako rear mounts taper.
Tikka mounts can be used on both tikka and sake wear as sako only fit on sako (okay sako can be used as an interference grip mount but that's not the best)
