Phew! what a lovely head.
Yes, a real shame about the damaged antler.
I always think that if the antler was broken in a fight then the opponent must have been of equal body size or better. He may therefore also have a good head or better.
Was it broken before or after he shed his velvet? Looks like after
“Man surprised me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”........Dalai Lama
BroKen after velvet he's a very old beast
Thanks was a heavy beast and the head had a lot of weight to it as well
I had one similar last year with Louis off this site. I would say yours is about the same size, heavy bases as well. I wouldn't mind betting it will take silver, or possibly gold if you get as lucky as Louis did.
