What powders do you have at your disposal?
Why are you shooting such a heavy, stout bullet at deer? ( 1800 fps at 500 yards, the minimum speed to open it up).
I would load the 150-gr for deer, or 165 / 168 gr for boar. I have loaded the Barnes 150 TSX in the .308, and based on that experience with some conventional bullets and the same powder (RL-15), brass, primers and rifle, my guess is that 55.5 gr IMR-4350 for all three bullet weights in the .30-06 is the place I would expect to end up, beginning at 54.0 gr.
