I read on a site somewhere that Redex is useful for cleaning crud from a rifle, is this true. ( Not the fact that I read it but dos it work?)
given that it is more expensive than most cleaners designed for metals I am not sure of the benefit of that.
its rather oily IMO
I prefer a decent degreaser and then replace the dirty oils/grease with clean
Is Redex not just kerosene, be easier dunking it in the heating oil tank !
Redex is designed to remove carbon deposits, so would probably work to a certain extent.
I'm guessing you would probably be cheaper and have better results using a proper bore cleaner though, saying that I'm all for experimentation. You try it first though
