Anyone have any dealings with the above company?
Very odd they only advertise a mobile number and when called it goes to a Spanish 'this phone is unavailable currently' also on street view their address is a residential property, not a gun shop...
any one know the business?

According to Bloomberg the company's line of business includes 'operating game preserves that allow hunting and trapping' ?

If you speak to rip max they'll tell you what I just got told (which sounds like lies if I'm honest) that they've had a few people calling up about Gunsport but they don't know who it is and they think it's registered at the wrong address..... Hmm likely, given that company directors for both rip max and Gunsport are the same person namely Nicholas Julian Moss.....

I know, done all the searches... I suspect it was probably him I spoke to although he wasn't about to admit that. Friend in Germany wasn't so careful unfortunately and looks like he may has lost a lot of money through that company by the looks of it, so people, be warned....!!

Andy, I was looking at the one on their site priced at 1250 Euros, what a beauty it is too.
It's a shame there isn't anybody on site that lives near there so they could pop round and see exactly what they do have.

I don't think they exist in terms of shop and show room, I doubt they have any of the stock they claim. Their company profile stinks and is screaming out fraud. The registered address claims not to know the company and yet the company at that address has the same directors as Gunsport so make up your own mind on that! A friend is out of pocket to this firm by €1000 after buying a stock. Doesn't look like he'll be getting anywhere with getting his money back, he's German and the transaction was done via bank transfer, much the same as lots of EU companies insist when we try and buy reloading consumables from European suppliers....etc.

Apparently they advertised a lot on egun until recently and a lot of people were suspicious of their low prices..... Apparently their adverts just disappeared off the site very suddenly. All smacks of dodgy doings.

Confirmed, they are a fraud. They have cloned the details of ripmax who's address and directors details they have used, the company ripmax has reported them to the fraud squad cyber fraud team, they have had numerous calls from Holland, Belgium, Denmark and alike all with similar claims of fraud, all of which have been forwarded to the police. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, and sorry...
i also got hold of the chap who's mobile number appears on the website, international dialling tone, foreign chap, and when I said the street address didn't look like a gun shop he said to just turn up and call him and he would meet me.... Yeah, right!
DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PART WITH ANY MONEY TO THIS FIRM THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!!! (I have also sent s report to Enfield police for good measure, for all it will probably achieve, but hey.

I think this info needs to be distributed to all the local firearm forums.

It doesn't explain how the director of Ripmax and gunsport are the same on companies house though. Unless no checks are done when one registers a Ltd company.

That thougt did cross my mind but having spoken to ripmax and several different members of staff there being passed from reception to secretary etc, if there was a cover up they have their story very tight right through the company and it did't sound like they had anything to hide, they seemed as aggrieved as any disgruntled customer,

Also, the guy I got hold of on the mobile number didn't sound like he had anything to do with ripmax, I doubt he's ever been to England, I suspect it's just been done entirely online from whichever country he's based in

a list of companies he is involved with all at the same address
MR Nicholas Julian Moss works at O.S. PRODUCTS LIMITED as Director, GUNSPORT DISTRIBUTION LIMITED as Director,
RADIO CONTROL SUPPLIES LIMITED as Director, HOBBYSTORES LIMITED as Director, IRVINE LIMITED as Director,
AMERANG LIMITED as Director, RIPMAX LIMITED as Director, RC DEPOT LIMITED as Director,
ULTIMATE MODEL CORPORATION LIMITED as Director. THUNDER TIGER LIMITED as Director.

Yes, but I don't think, at least from what I've worked out so far that he is actually related to the Gunsport business, I could be wrong of course but it certainly wasn't a Mr Nicholas Julian Moss that answered the phone this morning, from speaking to the company secretary this morning it sounds like they've had a lot of details cloned in order for someone to start up said company illegally. But who knows, the likes of you and I can but guess, here's hoping the cyber fraud lot can do something though I very much doubt it.
