Swarovski Flip Covers - Problem

I have a 2.5-15x56 Z6i - I bought the Swarovski original flip up cover for it; however the rear ocular cover just will not keep closed. Any hints or tips? It's driving me crazy.

I have tried the the slot in all different positions including on the focus adjuster line and nothing will get it to have a solid click. I have also tried different screw pressures...

It has a solid click off the scope but as soon as its fitted it won't work.

Ideas?!?

Not had a problem with any of mine. Have you tried fitting them closed to see if that makes a difference? Perhaps you're fitting it too far onto the focus ring?

mine were fine as other have said contact them directly (UK) not vie a dealer the service i have had in the past was 1st class.

Mine do exactly the same thing.

Have you tried removing the o ring and rubbing a little washing up liquid on your fingers around the o ring then putting back on ?

ive never had a problem with them opening or closing

I had the same problem, contacted Swarovski, and heh presto they sent me new magnetic ocular cover, it is perfect, well done all at Swarovski

Contacted them earlier and they said send them back to Austria. What all do I need to put in with it? Name, address, receipts? Should save me £75 on a new magnetic one. They are only about 2-3 months old.

I hoped led someone would say hey would send magnetic ones, to be honest I'm perfectly happy with the front one.

Chees lads - some group.

got rid of mine, thought they were not up to it.
Not heard of the magnetic ones before, wonder why they made them??
Will have to have a look at them.

The O ring needs a lubricating (ooerr missus). A smidgeon of O ring grease, rubber lube, Molycote etc works a treat.

As per my earlier post a bit of lube :)

i can't fault them if I'm honest and quite happy to buy them again

Got to say I wish I hadn't brought mine. Took the ocular one off as wouldn't stay shut. The objective rattles all the time. I'll be ringing customer services on Monday.

I sent it back to Swarovski uk - I have been waiting for about 2 weeks for its return. How long do they usually take?
