Butchery course in Englandshire

Given the interest in the butchery course in Scotland how much interest is there in a butchery course in England? Specifically to be held in the lakes district around Ambleside?

Im thinking skin, butcher and prep at least two carcasses. Convert the carcass into its various parts then demo prepping sausages and burgers.

If there's enough interest this could be arranged.

Course will commence at 9am, finish at 4pm, and cost around £450 per head. Who's up for it? ;)

Certainly interested but yes, £450 seems a bit much - do you get to keep what you butcher?

I think he's having a pop at me jumping on his idea after he's mentioned about running one in Scotland.
Not everyone wants to travel that far and I'm simply trying to do a similar thing a bit closer to home for many people.
Costs wise? I'll not make a penny. The butcher would be someone that's a chef and shoots and butchers a lot of deer and sheep carcasses. The premises may well be free depending on numbers so the only costs to cover would be the carcasses and some money for butcher (he's cheap :) )
id be providing my mincer and sausage/burger making machine

I would be up for that providing I can get off work.
Pm me any details you have for me and I will need as much notice of the date in advance as you can give.
Cheers 👍

Also interested Limulus - roughly where in Lancs incidentally?

I'm in Ainsdale Ed...west lancs as was.
i think we need this sort of thing for not just deer but other game too, I'm always surprised at the number of people that don't either want or can produce an edible carcass from creatures we shoot.
We're not fixed to Ambleside and may well be able to sort something closer to the motorway network.

Wasn't meant to be a pop. It was meant as a light-hearted amusing comment, that's all. Apologies if I ruffled any feathers. Didn't mean to

No offence taken...,it's a good idea and one more stalkers should take heed of and properly prepare a carcass

Sorry, Woodsmoke, I misinterpreted your post. I was thinking the one in Blair might be a bit expensive. To travel to darkest England is quite an undertaking!
Keep us all posted. Mutton instead of venison sounds like it could be quite attractive. And I'll certainly take some - maybe not all - home.

I only posted the mutton pictures as an example, to be honest. They're all built pretty much the same though. A roe is far easier to handle, mind you :thumb:

Leave it with me :)

really...£450, how many people are you intending to have on each course? How many carcasses does each candidate get to butcher and keep?

I don't think he or she of the double "l" read all, or any, of the previous posts. Of course, being of the Welsh persuasion, he or she may have read them and at the mention of sheep gone all funny. Or unfunny!
