Anybody wishing to contact Malcolm re stalking please do it by mobile phone if you are a regular and have his number, if not contact me and I shall provide his number.

He is without broadband at the moment due to a bit of a problem with BT, although he assures me it is a big problem with that shower of useless b*****ds! Hopefully it will be resolved quickly.

John

Sent him a message to book a day on the Fallow this morning. Would appreciate his number.

Many thanks

Am in a costa shop downloading all my mail.

No broadband at home and unlikely to be fixed for quite a while, BT are the biggest bunch of ****s I have had to deal with in all my life. Major fault in the road about 200mtrs away, and little chance of itr being fixed in the immediate future.

Please contact me on my mobile/text and I will get back to you. You can find this number via my website UK Outfitters Deer Management

thank you

Malcolm you have my sympathy. We're half a mile from our little old country cottage exchange, so plumbed straight in, no boxes no nothing. Boxes give our neighbours fibre, whereas I've had a 'maybe' for 2019.

A collapsed culvert chopped all our lines (voice and broadband) in early December 2015, and we only got service back in late January 2016. All sorts of cr&p from Openreach, including "Norwich Council are ignoring our application for traffic control" - [Norwich Council - "They're lying, and not for the first time. Nobody has asked us."], until a 'temporary' multicore was finally laid in the hedge to get us back up.

A month later a new culvert was laid down the lane, but nobody told the cabling team, so the 'temporary' cable stayed in the hedge until Fred the Farmer (who had no idea it was there) came along with his tractor-mounted hedge trimmer and zapped it. Another week of nothing waiting for it to be re-jointed. It's still in the hedge.

Openreach 'blokes down the hole' are great. Openreach management and schedulers need their bottoms smacking on the way to the jobcentre.

My issue was finally escalated over Christmas 2015 by an excellent PA in my local MP's office.

Use your MP, it might work.

Tell him not to hold his breath, my home internet from BT has been down since Christmas and"that shower of useless b*****ds!" have used every excuse in the books.

I sympothize with all, and was in the same boat.

It took me, over, four months for BT to get just the telephone to my house, when I first came to Scotland. Then the "Internet" was over two copper wires, with no line boosters, so I had to change over to Satellite Internet. I was told some of the "horror stories" about BT, when I first came here, but, until I lived through them, I did not believe them.

If I had a choice of using the smoke signals, of my forefathers or BT, I would be collecting a lot of wood for the fires.

I do not see how a service, or lack there of, can stay in business with such rubbish service.

I have my land line through Vonage (through Plusnet) and, because I can not get a signal with anyone else, I have my mobile through EE; could not be happier.

By the way, for those interested, I live in Brora, Scotland.

My BT Broadband connection kept dropping, and I was having to reboot everything several times a day. I went online to get an estimate of the speed I could/should get. When told I could get 50+ megawhatsits, I responded by asking why my speed was nowhere near that. They said they did not normally act on such responses, but fixed it within the week. A bad contact in the box 570M away.

I do hope your move to the lovely highland town of Brora was not to improve your communication with the outside world :D

Back up and working now...............in a fashion. If you fart it will probably go off again!! St

The best part of this so far is that I have been given the contact details of the specialist problem group at BT. Very helpful young irish lad who is trying his best to help. Since last week he has been trying to order an open reach broadband engineer to come back to our property. Guess what................................. he is having issues with this because there appears to be a fault on his line and cant reach them.

You couldn't make it up really. Two coke tins and a piece of string or a bloody carrier pigeon would be more successful than BT and Open reach.
