Unfortunately North of the Border greys are well established in the Tweed Valley. Killed one up the Cairn Water (D&G) and sent in blood sample. No Parapox antibodies so not a threat but quite annoyed they had got that far. The Duke of Buccleuch's Estates were very hot on grey squirrel eradication 10 yrs ago, hope they still are. I've only had forty+ so far but looking to top the ton by March.

Mate you will never pass your DSC level one (Decimating Squirrels Certificate level 1) if you cant tell the difference between a grey squirrel and a goffer :D

Yeh, yer right chasey, I won’t pass because if (Presume this is what you meant) a Gopher appears when i’m squirrelling I shoot ‘em anyway. Think that’s why none left in Lancs. ;)
Regards,Ken.

There is but with just one member! Same with "The British 22 Hornet Rifle Club".

I'm off to Roger Daltry's trout lakes with my Daughter this Weekend but from Monday it's back to the woods and the whiff of rimfire cordite through to December.
