Bullpup, bolt action, straight pull rifle.

At a D.I 'Best Practise; event, yesterday in Herefordshire, a bullpup bolt action straight pull deer rifle was on display. It had a 22" barrel and long picatinny rail.
Looked like a good concept to me. It was presented as something that may well be the way hunting rifle development may go forwards.
Does anyone know if this is an 'off the shelf' rifle or would it have been a custom rifle?
I failed to check/notice a Brand or Model - and yes, I have also approached the DI asking for more info.

I know Desert Tech do a few bullpup configuration bolt action rifles.

I am not aware of the rifle mentioned but am a fan of the "bullpup" concept. I use a Pfeiffer SR2, 26inch barrel and 27.5 inches long plus Mod, which is easy to carry and accurate. No magazine load length issues in fact no magazine faff at all and quiet in operation.

I've been using one of these Desert Tactical SRS-1 bullpups recently.

Not really my thing to be honest. I like the length, but its still bloody heavy. I haven't got used to cycling the bolt yet. Accurate as anything you'll find.

This one has barrels in 6.5x47 Lapua, .308 Winchester Palma, .260 Remington and a wildcat .224 known at this early stage as the ".22 Shitstorm", a necked down 6.5x47 with a 40° shoulder.

Interesting. A wee thumbhole stutzen!

I think I can see the need for an above the norm elevated scope but is the height of that bridge mount determined by the desire to provide a centre of gravity carrying handle or simply a handy (sorry) product of correct eye positioning?

I suspect the convoluted articulation of the shooter's right arm and hand might negate the perceived advantage of a straight pull, although it's possibly easily to manipulate than a traditional bolt throw?

The DSR1 looks interesting if you're into black rifles.

If it was in Herefordshire I know who built it and what it's based upon.
. 308 by any chance.
The guy who built it has been working on this bullpup concept for a while. Very knowledgeable guy. Been tweaking it here and there. All his own work.

I know what it's based upon but without his say so not disclosing on an open forum.

By the way what was the event in Herefordshire?
