I’m looking to put the metal work from an off-road stock into a professional stock. The problem I’ve come across is that the inlet on the pro stock is slightly narrower, and would require a bit of filing to allow the metal work to fit. Has anyone done this before? Will try to post a couple of photos to explain. Any advice welcome.

Some photos - hope this works.

I did this a few years ago and came across the same problem....

I had to take out the stepped shoulders in the back of the Pro as shown in your third photo ....and, iirc, the stepped section in the bottom at the front of the box just visible in the first picture.

Certainly helped having access to a milking machine though....

cheers

Thanks LostJock. I've managed to buy a rifle in an offroad stock, but with a spare pro stock exc metalwork in great condition - hence the issue above. Have also now just bought a fairly tired pro stock but with the metal work. So will be switching the metal work between the pro stocks, and be selling the near pristine off road stock on here shortly.
