Nicola Sturgeon deems PM's visit to Scotland - non-essential

Nor do I, presumably Scottish pound or Euro?
Well they can't join the eurozone until they're in the EU and meet the economic criteria (which they're already miles away from). They could have a Scottish pound...or groat or whatever, but that would also require them to make some severe economic adjustments which are completely at odds with SNP policy.
Last time, the only answer that came was that they might keep the GB pound - although that would make life near impossible for them because they wouldn't actually have enough pounds to pay the bills, no way to get enough, and be entirely economically dependent on London...which presumably is not the point of being independent.

If you want to know why Sturgeon is making such a fuss at the moment, take a look at this:
Bare in mind that this is his sworn court evidence, so if he is shown to be lying he will have committed perjury. Salmond is due in front of the Holyrood inquiry team soon (can't remember the exact date) so expect maximum deflection very soon. If the evidence from Craig Murray is true, it shows that there is huge corruption at the heart of the SNP, civil service and crown prosecution team.
As for MacAskill, Sturgeon is throwing him under the bus. He is a Salmond loyalist and is openly criticising Sturgeon, so she has ordered more details of what he has been up to (as reported today). I doubt that she will cut him the same slack as she did with Covid Margaret (Ferrier).

For those who do not wish to take the time to read the link (although I feel you should, it's explosive stuff), it indicates that Salmond was framed in a plot involving several high profile SNP members, the civil service and the CPS. They tried to frame someone on sex charges, and had he been convicted there is every likelihood that he would have spent the rest of his days in prison.
Explosive? Knocks the Profumo affair into the long heather by a country mile - can you tell me a bigger political Scandal in the UK??😳😳

Nor do I, presumably Scottish pound or Euro?
Can't have the Euro before accession (that'll be 'nivver', then!); in the meantime, though they're not forthcoming about it, see what Andrew Neil made of their chief economic strategist's scrapbook doodling (loving the 'sublime-inally soft furnishings'🤣):

Might as well be Monopoly money, probably more valuable too...

And (presumably having started at parity), that Scottish Pound would be worth how much within about an hour of its launch? Sixpence?
No way can they keep the pound. If they rejoin the EU, they will be forced to adopt the Euro. And if they leave the Union, why would the rest of the UK allow them to use the same currency?

So many questions, so few responses. :)

Just a rabid desire to leave, but they have no real plan as to what happens afterwards.

Or, even better, get your sh1t together and take back control of your great country from these utter lunatics before it's too late. Scotland is the most beautiful, historical, lyrical, financially-astute, scientifically-minded, and culturally rich place on earth...and you're watching it burn. Get a f'kin grip, my friends.

....With what will be the biggest political scandal in the history of these isles, indeed Europe, about to unfold in the next fortnight - maybe they'll make a 'fillim' of it with Mel G as Alex, and Winona (herself no stranger to the inside of a court of Law) playing as Jammy Stalin, and help trade our iron bru tops and tunnocks caramel wafer wrappers (the new Scots currency) via credit default swaps into Euros, or Zimbabwean Dollars - it'll rake in billions (- about 13p before exchange transaction fees, of, er on is that the time already? Never mind - oh yeah - who's 'In'? 🤣

Move over Adam Smith and David Ricardo - oor boy Kev here can be our new Chancellor (pronounced chancer): here's his masterclass in "Jockenomics":

Can anyone explain whether Britain would be better or worse off financiallly if Scotland left? Thanks.
Look at it, like you would look at a divorce, one party usually comes out of it better off, and in this case we would, we pay for most things now, even after their great economy, we pay for the NHS, free education, etc, and its very doubtful that they could afford to pay for these things themselves as their economy does not at present raise enough money to sustain their way of life.
The other part of this is that it would eventually effect the nationals of this country who live in Scotland, and the nationals of Scotland that live here, as we have seen with the EU who havw put a limit on the time you are now allowed to stay in the EU, no doubt there would have to be some kind of agreement between them and us, and as there or Wee krankys ultimate aim is to be in the EU, she would be unlikely to make an agreement that would look odd to the EU.
You then have to look at the other aspects, Passports, Driving Licences, Vehicle taxation, shared Electricity Grids, etc, etc, and try and work out how they would create the infrastructure to manage all these things.

We in England are so disadvantaged it's unbelievable, Households in Northern Ireland for instance dont pay water rates, and pay much lower rates than us, because we subsidise them, all people in Scotland get free prescriptions, free eye tests which are more in depth than ours they look for health problems as well as testing your eyes.( you can get this free in Scotland as long as you are a UK resident),
Now although we gain great benefit from being a Union, its quite obvious that England on its own, would be financially better off on its own, as it does subsidise the other parts of the Union, but that is not saying we would be better off politically.
I do think that the more these people go on about separation, and independence the more the English people will get fed up and will lose whatever respect they had for them, and be glad to see them gone, much to their detriment.
