Zeiss asv turret

Yep - lots - they are a very lovely thing. My opinion is that the Zeiss Victory HT range are about as perfect a combination of light gathering, clarity, ruggedness and simplicity as you are likely to get. The turret isn't too bulky either. I have a Swarovski X5 and while also a good system, it strays into target territory. I expect the Swaro lower profile ballistic turrets are more my thing.
A scope with ASV+ comes with a selection of rings which can be used on the turret. The generic one is marked off in single clicks. The subsequent ones are marked off in units relating to distance and you pick the one (using their app) which most closely approximates the trajectory of your round. Once zeroed, if you are shooting at, say, 250m then you wind the turret around to 2.5 and don't worry about how many clicks that was. You can also set a zero stop.
The limitation is that they are only useful for one revolution of the turret, but for hunting purposes that is plenty.
I had one Victory HT which didn't have ASV+ and I missed it so I had it retrofitted at Zeiss UK's service agent.
There is a really good illustrative video of the system on either the Zeiss website or youtube I recall.

Yes the ASV+ in HT and V8 and all are great and works very well for me on 3 different rifles. I find the Zeiss dial in ASV rings easier with more graduations than the other scope options available. Just range find with the bins and dial in. Before you use on live game it’s important to check at various ranges to ensure you have the right ring though. You must also consider and understand windage correction
If the scope you are looking at has ASV rather than ASV+, the concept is just the same, but you don't get a set of interchangeable rings. You can, though, mark the ring up yourself or be really bling and have a custom one laser etched by Zeiss. (Oh yes I did - on a 6-24x50 Victory FL which is probably similar to the V4.)
I have a Zeiss Victory HT with ASV+ and it is a good system and excellent scope. Once you decide on your bullet and plug the numbers into the app it identifies which distance marked ring to use. If shooting a variety of loads then just use the basic ring with click marks and calculate the amount needed using the app for various combinations of bullet and distance.
Its well worth getting the asv version if you want to shoot longer ranges.

Do you mean the 6-24x56 FL? The FL came as 6-24x56 and 6-24x72. The FL IMO is way above the V4 or V6 models, but discontinued when the HT came out. The HT 3-12x56 is superb. I still have mine although since moved to the red badge. The Zeiss ASV is so easy to set up.
Wholeheartedly agree with rabbiters comments above, I run the Victory HT with ASV+ and it is a delight to use - I changed from a Z6i which is a great scope as well but I found it a bit too fiddly when the situation demanded. I have been so pleased with mine that I got another for my foxing rig.
i have a V4 4-16 x 50 with ASV on a .270 and find it really helpful. Even although the .270 is fairly flat out to 200 yards the ability to dial up a few clicks beyond 125 increases the confidence.
On a less punchy caliber I would consider ASV a must.

I have the ht 3 12 x56 with asv plus ,was out yesterday with it shooting out to 385 mtr .was using rws 150g id classic in 308 ,the app said use ring set 006 for that round ,worked ok out to 250 mtr ,then it dropped off big time .at 300 was saying 16 clicks ,but in reality it was 24 .so really not that accurate ,so need to check on paper first .might get a ring custom made by ziess ,when i have confirmed all my data .
Did you chronograph the rounds first as most factory rounds don't reach the velocity thats advertised on the box.
