No mate but I’m not wanting to ban anything .Leave that to the Saints on hereSpose U R peddling your bike furiously.![]()
What about the squeaky voice trick ,priceless when the drinks are flowing .Helium is too important to inustry to be used for stupid birthday balloons.
And you can't make it on Earth.
A well maintained thatch is actually quite difficult to set alight, an airborne incendiary is however an excellent method of doing soMy guess is zero.
The discussions one has with oneself are always well-reasoned; it's when one involves other people that they tend to deteriorate.Carl, some of us that favour particular bans have had a reasoned discussion with themselves, Damage versus Benefit.![]()
That's as may be. But I'm still sceptical that it ever happened, let alone on a wide enough scale to justify banning something.A well maintained thatch is actually quite difficult to set alight, an airborne incendiary is however an excellent method of doing so
Specially around the Brai. The discussions one has with oneself are always well-reasoned; it's when one involves other people that they tend to deteriorate.

So removing an unnecessary hazard to people's homes and lives isn't worthwhile? At this point we must agree to differ!let alone on a wide enough scale to justify banning something.
With that attitude, one must assume you don't drive, shoot, own metal kitchen implements, have electricity in your home or ever have a fire. Etc.etc. ad nauseamSo removing an unnecessary hazard to people's homes and lives isn't worthwhile? At this point we must agree to differ!
I have no interest in these balloon things; however, I do wonder at people's fascination (including shooters) with seeking bans for activities with which they disagree.
I'm sure we could all sit here and list the stuff we find harmful. I agree with you re salmon-farming, but I would also add: sugar, salt, bleach, shampoo, diesel, tactical-beards, red trousers, roll-mops, pollen, wasps, nose-rings, green hair, Packham, and anti-libertarian governments.I agree in sentiment @CarlW but if you look at how some of the US States have enacted laws which banned harmful practises such as waste dumping etc., hunters were usually on the forefront in supporting or even drafting these bills.
A ban on all commercial salmon farming in Scotland's oceans and lochs would be a step in the right direction. Take it indoors and stop MOWI making millions out of trashing the Highlands and Islands that the incumbent administration could not care less about unless it's on a postcard or ad.
It probably is, but the NFU have it covered, perhaps the alleged voice of shooting should improve things for its paying members, and before someone suggests a lantern may cause a fire on a grouse moor, maybe @Conor O'Gorman should propose a ban on disposable barbecues which are a known cause of moorland firesSo removing an unnecessary hazard to people's homes and lives isn't worthwhile? At this point we must agree to differ!
Absolutely wonderful in Summer time when one lands in a field of oats.I like them. A great end to a big Guy Fawkes bonfire party and betting on who goes furthest
