Just for a small moment consider each volcanic eruption spew far more green house gas than man kind ever has. Yes be a good steward for the land, just dont forget climate changes with or without human kind. Apogy and Perogy around the sun and tilt on axis. The dinosaurs didn't smoke tobacco to become extinct.since covid struck the planet I have been thinking much more about where the human race is heading with regards to the climate crisis and human impact on the globe. All the politicians seem to be doing is romancing the truth and talking up new ideas to try and solve the issue when the reality is that the planet cannot sustain us all for long unless we life like cavemen.
Unless we have global consensus we are spitting in the wind. It is unlikley china and russia will ever jump on board so any of the agreements at COP26 are likley to be useless.
I think we are at the point of no return now with global warming and think the best we can do now is to start prepping for more extreme weather, rising costs of energy, food, living, travel etc.
The elephant in the room that the politicians are not addressing is that there are too many people on the planet. Electric cars aren't the answer either we just need millions less of them and stop buying/leasing new ones every few years. And then the other thing is we need to massively reduce our waste and do some proper waste recycling. It seems to be a shambles in the UK.
Ive come to the age that i've realised i'm not working for myself any more but the future for my children and I do fear for the planet we will leave them so I decided to start somewhere. My wifes got excited and banned all plastic products in the kitchen. Im now using a coconut hair pan scourer. not my favourite tool but we all have to start somewhere and if its not in landfill for the next 1000 years then gotta be worth a try.

I agree with most of that…but not that she’s a c unit - it’s her parents that are C units….for pushing their child into this just to push their own antifa agendas…scum! She’s a completely insufferable c unit and alongside all those self righteous politicians preening at COP ought to go spend some time in the real world to understand how all this agenda will affect your average man.
If another do gooder hippy has the audacity to lecture me on my footprint whilst eating their imported veg/fruit from Christ knows where and driving there Tesla I think I might scream.

I believe in climate change - it’s always happened, I don’t believe in the hysteria surrounding it - as has been mentioned the earth has always had volcanos, oceans etc and these make our carbon contributions look tiny.
We do need population control, limit to two children etc. But will the whole world do this?

Gixer
Fact is the population is to large for the available resources.
