Anyone tried Winchester Copper Impact Extreme Point?

As per title, I will be trying some 85gr in .243 tomorrow for zeroing but wondered if anyone had experience on deer. In theory.....they sound good.

Nice but what's with the "extreme"? Its like when manufacturers use the word "ultra" in the name or description of a product.
What's the next product going to be called, the extremely extreme ultra super slug lol.
Anyway, nice to see a bigger piece of single use plastic being dumped into the environment than we normally get lol.

I think that bigger piece of plastic is the 'extreme' bit - as it is something like 48% the diameter of the bullet..'theoretically'...to enable better expansion and initial shock.

Don’t know what they are like in 243 but in a 270 they are effective. Not the most accurate round, inch group. Drops deer ( Sika, Red and Roe) with no problem. Downside is you get a hole the same size as lead bullets make

And when you say drop, do they seem like they've got plenty of shocking power? I can only guess that in .270 they must be expanding pretty well.

And that will cause,.........👿
Plastic is finding its way into seabird chicks stomachs and it stays there eventually killing the bird through starvation.
When I were a lad and we used lead no one seemed to have a problem with it. But now it seems the moment we try to improve something we just cause an issue elsewhere.

I appreciate the sentiment regarding stray plastic but in reality the chances of tips from spent bullets causing harm to birds must be negligible to say the least.

Hopefully Winchesters bullet with it’s larger cavity will allow a wider band of effective impact velocity - if so I’m surprised Barnes hasn’t added such a bullet to their line - if only to allow it to be called ‘TTSSXXX-Ultra-Mega’ or whatever

It’s the TAC-TX

Surely that's what you'd want?
