Thermal scope ARES 335

I saw this one at the Salzburg show yesterday it seemed to be effective for me looking through it along the stands so up to 150M and the price was only 2,299 Euros, are the prices being forced down now?

Not that good a deal really.
2299 euros is about £2050
The UK price for that scope is £2100
The Ares 335 has a 384 sensor and 35mm lens
The HIK stellar SH50 (384 sensor and 50mm lens) is availble from several UK sellers for £1900
and the even better spec HIK Thunder TQ50 (640 sensor and 50mm lens) is available for £2000
Also, HIK service and backup in the UK is very good
Thermtec are a much smaller outfit with a single small UK company (Optical Solutions) doing the importing, selling and backup

Good to know that, they are illegal to own anyway in Germany, so much for the EU wide rules/laws plan.

They are allowed to decide SOME of their own laws, but not ALL of them

Edgar Brothers have now taken over the distributor arrangement for Thermtec now Bruce.

Speaking to Chinese manufacturers , they all say they can buy HIK sensors for next to nothing in comparison to other manufacturer sensors, so that echos that HIK can be very aggressive with pricing if they need to be, they have a lot of flexibility manufacturing there own sensors , it gives them a big margin advantage....

BUT on saying that from every manufacturer out there, some may offer a better image on certain price points...but none to date, I have come across offer the build quality, software, features or just ease of use as Pulsar.... testing the new Duo the other day, it's slick ! They have now incorporated a smooth zoom function that is lightening fast and fluid, I can see this being implemented in the rest of the line when the bluetooth addition is added in the next firmware, hopefully !
