A couple of years ago, I had a stalking 'two-knife' set made by a (dare I say it) very famous knife maker.
They were (I am biased as I helped in the design of the handles) the most beautiful things, and I was delighted with them.
I took them out and managed to take a Roe Buck that very first outing. I used these knives on the gralloch, and they performed wonderfully.
However. The sight of these 'works of art' covered in blood and snot was too much for me to bear. I lovingly cleaned the knives, and placed them back in my cabinet to be admired, worshiped but never 'dirtied' again. I know!
Anyhoo.
The Master knife maker made contact this week, and posed the question in the 'header'.
"If you can get your knife to me by 1pm on (insert date here), then I will swap it out for my 'Safari' knife and take yours instead".
And so a bit of fun:- will the knife get here in time to make it to Africa?

If the knife makes it, then it will join "JAK" on his adventures, and I will do my best to document their journey and their exploits.
Come on Pat, you can make it!
