For Sale: Sample Boxes .308 Copper Ammo

I am thinking about offering people sample boxes of factory copper ammo.

Each box will be 20 rounds and consist of:-

5 x Sako 120gr .308
5 x Winchester 150gr .308
5 x Geco Zero 136gr .308
5 x Sako Blade 162gr .308

The idea behind this would be to offer people thinking or needing to make the switch the option of having a selection of ammo to hand to see what their rifle likes without having to spend £250 ish buying 4 boxes (current retail price for the above combined).

At present I am only offering .308 but if there is interest I will look at doing 6.5CM maybe in the future.

Boxes will be £55 collected from Worcestershire or Gloucestershire.

Great idea, wish more RFDs would offer this so we can try out ammo before committing to buying full boxes. It’s not just a cost thing but potentially a problem for those with limited quantities permitted on their FAC having lots of part boxes they’re not going to use.
That was kind of the idea only time will tell if it’s useful to people. If it is then I will look at other calibres.

Great idea. Too far for me but I've been suggesting this to local places for years to no avail.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of people taking you up on this offer

I have often suggested the same, with little success.

Particularly for those buying a rifle in a common chambering, a selection box of the options that your gunshop stocks would be a great help to many.

How many people have a partial box, gathering dust in the safe, that patterns like AAA through a shotgun at 50m

@Cotswold Sporting - Are you also offering selection boxes for non-copper ammunition?

Really good idea. Just got my first rifle, a 308. I've basically had to fully invest in one round from the outset (Federal 150g Powershok copper). I've no idea how it's going to shoot, but I've bought 2 boxes of the stuff.

Sorry only copper at this point.

Did you ever put together a 6.5 Creedmoor mixed box? 10 weeks into my (estimated 8 week... 🙄) variation journey and with a rifle on order this is something I'd use.
