More reasons not to support McDonald’s.

It would be, if true.
McDonalds (here) gets its potatoes from British growers. The internet is full of this sort of no-brain bilge.

When you say more reasons, What are the other reasons, I personally very rarely eat Macdonalds but do on the odd occasion whilst travelling, The clip you posted appears to be old and a quick look on the net it appears that British farmers gain from supplying Macdonalds.

Pulling back onto the motorway, my guilt lasted for the next five junctions.

I was hungry again by the seventh junction.

Absolutely terrible food to have as a stable diet, but nice once in a while for a treat.

There is a long list of reasons. Perhaps the most pressing is dietary.
High carbohydrate loading in their products (sugar in their bread buns such that needs to be classified as a cake).
Ultraprocessed everything with more additives than real components.
Deforestation to produce the beef in its burgers.

Watch ‘super size me’ if you want to know the effects on your body.
You will say it’s only the odd one I have, but many eat it regularly, take their children/grandchildren regularly as a treat.

We need to move away from ultra processed food if the health of the nation is to get better. McDonald’s are one of the chains that are responsible for the deteriorating picture we see with obesity and diabetes. There are many more.

To make such a change we need to educate the public to their dangers. This video might just get a few people thinking that they might consider changing their lifestyle for the better.

Every little helps.

I haven’t eaten from Macdonald’s restaurants in close to 15 years, not because of any moral objection but because it is simply awful food that tastes terrible. My three boys have only been on occasions when taken by friends’ parents, thankfully they share my opinion. I am always impressed that as a business they can survive.

MacDonalds in the UK sources its ingredients from UK farmers. That is a well documented fact.
That doesn't alter the fact that their food is disgusting. Shame really, to take such good quality raw ingredients and turn them into such crappy products.

(I confess, I have been into a McDonalds three times in my life..... and been kicked out of a McDonalds for eating my own sandwiches in preference to what they had on offer!)

That is the issue with high sugar loading. Big hit, runs out quickly crave for more!!

Next step if done regularly is insulin resistance 🙈

I used to be the same. Got a scare now just highlighting the risks.
It’s a personal choice as long as you are aware of the consequences.

I love the Aussie health boards who write,” We care about your health but it is your responsibility” we could learn a lot from that.

Sadly, this country has moved well beyond the politics of personal responsibility into the lard-clad realms of socialism and state nannying.

From a public health perspective, there's a lot to be said for making access to the NHS dependent on keeping reasonably healthy. The problem is that it would never work because the doctors would systematically subvert the law.

When a company uses the term ‘100% prime beef’ to describe mechanically recovered meat because there is no legal definition of ‘prime beef’, then I’m out.

I loved the sign at the top of a "off-road" cycle path in Sutherland.

It showed the routes, the OS location of the nearest hospital, and phone numbers of local medical centres.

The last line said:-

"Take responsibility for your own actions".

Totally understandable why you were kicked out, You wouldn't go into a pub and open a can of beer or a bottle of wine that you brought in from the supermarket or at least I wouldn't, Its all about choice, If you don't like them don't eat them it's simple.
My adult kids used to regularly go to Macdonalds and it has not done them any harm, they are all fit and healthy along with my grandchildren because they live an active lifestyle.
I really think there is bigger problems to my kids and grandkids here in the UK than eating the odd Macdonalds

Were those pictures the results from both ends after having eaten there.🥵

Usual drivel, Mc Donald’s has one of the highest requirements for stock husbandry in the world ( in NZ anyway ) supermarkets will always take the cheapest for burgers, known as bonner cows, what is machanically retrieved meat ? All front quarters go into there burgers just like normal butchers. As to eating unhealthily, everything in moderation is what is required.

To be fair, I was only about 15 at the time, on a day out with a group of friends, and I was the only one who'd had the foresight to bring any food. They opted for McDonalds, and I thought I'd sit with them for company while I ate my packed lunch.
