I reckon the bottom of the metalwork changed between the earlier Offroad and the subsequent Offroad Professionals… so consequently the cut-out changed.

When I moved the metalwork from my original Offroad to a Pro stock, I had to mill a bit out on the Pro stock to get it to fit.

Fwiw Looks like an off road stock, the later professional stocks have rubber inserts. I own the latter but I think the fitting is different between the 2, from looking at third party after market stocks. Maybe this is why it won’t fit your 308?

Fizz seems to have more first hand experience than me.

This thread of mine from a few years ago should help:

Just the shape of the metalwork has changed. You could make it work with a bit of dremelling.

The offroad and the professional metalwork are interchangeable. The one that is different is the really early one that came in timber effect hydro dipped plastic stock, mostly seen in 6.5x55.

What you have there is an offroad stock with metalwork removed

And the actions for wooden stocks are obviously different

Yep, that rings a bell…. I think I actually used a router to smooth out the bottom of the Pro Stock….holding it very tight to avoid it running away with it! 🤣

Still got the Offroad upstairs… I bought it s’hand as a 7mm RemMag and the stock actually had a Blaser stock extension screwed to the end of a Kickstop in the butt. I’ve never seen another one.
