Advice on Day Night vision scopes for a 270 rifle

How best to ask this, I have been stalking now for nearly 20 years.
I think I have moved with the times started using a thermal spotter when they first came out and when I could afford one!
I missed two seasons due to health reasons, but back in full swing now.
I am having real issues with fallow in large numbers in mix of forestry.
Stalking into them, waiting on them has now always been at that hour at last light (permitted legal shooting time), but nearly always I have not enough light for a clear shot. I used a very good quality scope, but just not good enough.
So I have decided to try day night vision scope that can handle a 270 chamber rifle, but my goodness what a selection to choose from.
So do any one on here use one on a 270 rifle in heavy forestry tracks mature wood’s etc in the permitted shooting times.

My thermal monocular is a quantum HD38S which is well used now, but still works and I think if I added a day night vision scope it would be big help.
One other problem I will have, to buy rings and quick mount base for a blaser, love the rifle but not what it costs for the base and rings to suit and that looks like a mine field too!
I have had a good read on some of the other views on here, but just need someone that’s doing the same as myself for advice.

Most digital scopes have eye relief which is much shorter than typical glass scopes - and 270 does have a bit of recoil
The only digital scopes I know of which have eye relief close to a typical glass scope are the ATN X Sight and the PARD DS35 - neither of which I would put at the top of my list if I was buying a digital scope
The better digital scopes like the HIK Alpex 4k and DNT Zulus only have around 2 inches of eye relief
Others may tell you that using a short eye relief scope on a 270 is nothing to worry about - I have the bruises that says otherwise

I remember helping a lad to start stalking and on the range he would not listen about his head placement on the stock. He has never forgotten it, but a great deer stalker now and got a 270

If my drone 10's pack up I would buy the HicAplex, a couple of QD mounts so the Z6 and Hik could swap around the .243 .270. I use both quite a lot and the .270 has no kick if you are concentrating on the shot as the other factors I have found take over.

Been using a Alpex since the original came out, now on a LRF 4k. Tremendous bit of kit, especially for the price.

For ambushing deer at first/last light they are several leagues above ANY glass scopes. I have mine on QD mounts and all rifles with rails, with separate profiles for each rifle and bullet. I have a day scope also on QD’s so I can switch it up. As a culling tool they are tremendous, mine paid for itself within a couple of outings (however at todays prices I wouldn’t hold your breath).

Downsides are the image in broad day light. Even a cheap day scope will better it. I would take my alpex to the hill at a push and you’d be alright, but there are better tools for the application.

No problem whatsoever with the eye relief but I leave the HIK cup on - doesn’t feel right compared to optics but hey ho. Interestingly, on my Thermion I took the cup off Beyond 150m my range estimation is not great and I always use the range finder in my binos. I’ve found the LRF on the HIK very easy to use (if somewhat disconcerting at dawn/dusk as it’s a bright splash) and today, I went straight to the scope without using binos.

For, this I would look no further than the Pulsar C50, I have been using one since they first came out fantastic scopes, much prefer it over my thermal.. In fact I don't think I would ever use that over the C50...
