t I'd suggest using due diligence, and if unsure make you pay by credit card, or buy from well known established companies.

This goes for anything online - it's not particular to thermals.

Strange comment. Would you rather people were made aware of possible scammers, or prefer for them to get ripped off, possibly for thousands of pounds ?

Not a strange comment at all. Seems to be a thread completely lacking any substantiation. Other than dragging someone's good name through the mud, you haven't made people aware of possible scammers or achieved anything helpful. Suggest you ask for it to be closed.

I'm only involved as someone interested in buying another thermal, and coming across so many brand new companies selling Thermtec, & Senopex, to me, it came across as suspicious !

I have only suggested caution, only mentioned one name, for which was mistaken, and I have apologized for, and people can choose whatever they think appropriate, if buying a thermal !

several new dealers are seeing that thermtec has become one of the most popular brands in the uk but the older dealers do not want to stock it due to losing sales of hik which may affect their sales targets and lose the dealership
pulsar is living off its old name but they no longer make a relevent product for todays market which the chinese companies make 10x better at less cost
china dominates the thermal market now so new dealers are jumping onboard

I'm sure if the forum owners feel the tread has no value, they will close, or delete it. On the other hand, it may have saved one of us from losing money, something that you seem unconcerned about !

The one company I mentioned, I have explained why, and dealt with it. I have specifically not listed companies, because it's not a witch hunt, it's just a warning to be careful. Take it, or leave it.

1. You’re not a buyer you’re a trader
2. Stating something about a legitimate business can be taken as defamation for which an action can be taken against you
3. It’s pretty poor business practice to run down everyone else rather than concentrate on your own business

Unless you have the sales/volume figures for each of the brands, it's really hard to qualify just how popular any particular brand is ?

Clearly, YOUR most popular brand will be Thermtec, because that's what you aggressively discount, & promote. I imagine Senopex will be next, because that's your latest project. I'm guessing your Pulsar sales are dire, but not because no one is buying it.

we have lowered the prices to help clear thermtec of old stock before we sell the 2.0 range
we decided to lower the price at a loss on some models so more customers could afford a top spec thermal while the country suffers high cost of living
pulsar sales are dire at most stores i visit which is a shame as they have potential to be great again if they follow chinas example of higher base mag
this thread comes across as a bit racist towards the chinese brands

There is no info in this thread of substance or specific to thermals that would prevent anyone losing money. Rename the thread "Internet....... Ceveat Emptor" and leave it at that.

Nothing currently on sale in the UK (or anywhere else) is x10 better than Pulsar but there are brands, made in China) with products available in the UK which have significantly better performance and/or value than their Pulsar equivalents

Define what you mean by MOST popular
Top three top 5, top 10, top 20 or what
Given that only one of the top three thermal retailers in the UK actually sell Thermtec products, the brand is probably not better than top five

I should have said "Glad you could join us", since prior to your two posts today, it looks like your last post was in 2013 I guess you must have got REALLY bored !

Now, MY website is totally irrelevant. Yes I'm trade, but I'm certainly not a thermal, or optics dealer, and in no way have I posted this thread with some plot to sell anything, to anyone As I said earlier, if anything, I've been looking at buying a new thermal scope, and during my searching, discovered all of these new "dealers".

Given what Bruce has just posted, it appears that the Wasion Group, who I'm unfamiliar with, is suggesting it has "exclusive distribution" of I assume, the brands listed on their website, which includes Discovery Optics, Pard, Thermtec, Senopex, & Sytong., the same brands being offered by these new companies.

Which makes sense, as Wasion are looking for "Dealer Partners" Wasion Dealers. This explains a lot, and it will be interesting to see how it all develops, given The Wasion Group is also a very new company.

The more legitimate dealers there are, the better for people looking to buy these products.

I started reading this thread as being in the market for a thermal device I thought it may hold some useful warning - but the thread has got somewhat ‘sidetracked’ & one to ignore.

However - I can’t let this statement by Optics World go “this thread comes across as a bit racist towards Chinese brands”.

Aside from the very inappropriate use of the term ‘racist’ when applied to ‘brands’ - reading the thread even as someone who’s got very close associations with that part of the world, I can’t see any prejudice has been displayed in the thread towards any brand from China or anywhere else for that matter.

Perhaps I have learnt one thing from this thread - the name of one company I won’t be buying a thermal from.

Hi guys, I think it's run it's course here, Lateral has apologised and I suppose he was just looking out for everyone. Lesson learned you can't go by all that you see or check online as sometimes the info is just not there.. ive learnt my lesson, make sure and finish my website before getting sidetracked.. anyway WildWood Optics is legit and open to business to anyone that may be in the market for a new optic , thermal , NV or otherwise.
