Fox in bedroom

Speaking to my mate at work. Said last weekend when it was hot, his sister who lives in that there London town, was sleeping with the doors open to her flat. She was woken in the middle of the night to find a fox in her bedroom. Scared the crap out of her. No harm done but it shows how brazen they are.

Niece worked in Whistler, Canada a few years ago and heard a commotion in the kitchen, peeked through the door to see a black bear!

I had this happen two years ago, similar circumstances. It had been very hot, 40 degrees one day, not a drop of rain. We had the window open at night and at one point I opened my eyes to see two fox paws coming under the curtains, resting on the radiator. I got up, and it scarpered. I think it was just really thirsty and smelled water from the en-suite bathroom. This week i saw a rat out in the open on the lawn. This never happens. Suspect it was also looking for water.

These kinds of conditions drive urban animals to lose their usual caution out of desperation. There's no water around anywhere.

Had similar 10-15 yrs back. Fox came into the bedroom, nicked one of my wife's shoes from.under the bed - within a foot of her face. I wasn't thanked for insisting that she must have lost it on the way home drunk the night before.

I don't think it's desperation for water. Urban foxes have easy access to water - park ponds, the river etc.

My pal Texas Heart shot a pink fox at 750 yards coming straight at him with his Creedmoor and the fox was carrying half a dozen eggs - three of which immediately hatched then flew away; made an omelette with the other nine….
Wot? Wot?

Fair play 😅 Are you sure it was 750 yards...not 1000 with it being a creed 👍

I shot a fox years ago it having just grabbed a pheasant poult on getting shot it released the poult which legged it looking none the worse.
