Held ammunition quantities.

Are you a member of a target club?
Yes.. hence my requirement to hold additional ammunition. Variation going in to aquire .22 (requesting .22 CF for less agro / restrictions, likewise with the moderator) , move all rifles to ALQ for leagaly allowed for the calibre (ie 22CF should be able to be used for MJ&CWD in England and wales (roe in Scotland) and all rifles I possess to include target shooting as a full member of xxxcccxxx club.

Ok, then you shouldn’t have an issue with 1000-1500 for each RF (or more).

And 600-1000 for each CF.

Thanks
Can't afford to hold that amount, but gives me a starting point for negotiation (but will probably ask for the lower end of the CF!)
Shouldn’t really be a negotiation, read the guidance and ask for what you can justify in line with the guidance.

If you’re doing a lot of loading and like experimenting you’ll need more than you think.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Starting out with 222 reloading as I know that is cost effective. Hold up to 100 rds of factory, but if I want a morning / day on the range, with 3 rounds each(not sure if it should be more) with Starting load of 21.1 grain, working up In 0.1 grain increments , to just below max at 23.1 , that's an extra 90 rounds.

Don’t work up in .1 gr increments, for .222 go at .3.

3 rounds isn’t enough, load 4 or 5, that way if you think you’ve pulled one of the shots you can send another to see if it was you or the load.

Cheers , reloading is a new interest. Was going to book on a course at the club for £180, but I'm practical (sparky) , sensible (like not to cause myself damage) and can follow written instructions (see point 1) and £180 gets quite a few component parts and a Richard Lee book! So probably going wing it for the start. Hopefully all fingers and one working eye left intact... forget about glasses, I use full face shiel 😀

no worries.

Worth doing a course if you have one local and no one to show you. It’s a deep dark hole when you get into it! But satisfying.

I'm in the bullet camp, but trying to avoid the grief of those who refer to the lead or copper spinny bit as heads... perhaps we should just call them "heavy spinny bits " ?
no, dont let the stupid bring you down to their level.
even the really stupid dont talk about head holes in a target.
its really simple, even i can understand it

If you have joined a target shooting club, you want way more than 500 round of 22RF. I have 2500 22rf on my FAC and regularly use it all up!

You’ll never move up from the number you put in on your variation only down or at best get what you have asked for.

I have 800 on my .223 which is conditioned for target, deer and fox if that helps.
