Paint stripper.

OK folks. Can anyone recommend a paint stripper that will actually strip paint please ?.
Nitro mors is absolute kak these days, and I need to strip the varnish from a wooden CZ stock.

You're probably better off using a heat gun to be honest. I recently tried stripping the lacquer off my own stock, and even the most aggressive of modern stuff was absolute crap 🙄

Cheers bud. I remember whe N/M actually worked and burned your fingers, but it appears everyone is soft these days ?. LOL
I'll try the heat gun, just don't want to burn the wood.

I recently used screwfix own brand varnish stripper to do a beretta stock, took a few coats and I left it on overnight, but it did the job
I second this. I used the same stuff on a browning stock. It was No nonsense stripper was relatively cheap too, just painted it on a couple times left overnight and it worked fine,

Don't use a heat gun.
Just use something like Screwfix paint stripper and wrap it in a polythene bag to stop it drying out, apply the stripper liberally, and leave it 24 hours. Then work with a scraper gently, and a stiff brush on any checkering. Some metal bristles will react with the paint stripper, so go with nylon if possible.
Nath from airgunforumsuk has some YouTube videos on the topic.
